A Boekenhouthoek amethyst cluster from Mpumalanga, sold as a single rough plate of 4.5-9cm. The piece is covered with pale lavender to medium purple amethyst crystals, from tiny druzy growth up to distinct hexagonal points with pointed terminations, sitting on a rock matrix in grey, brown and off-white tones with patches of iron-stained yellow-brown between the crystals. Left just as it came out of the ground.
