A rough, unpolished zebra amethyst from Zambia, sold per piece in stones from about 0.1kg to 0.3kg. Bands of purple — from light lavender to deeper violet — form wavy, chevron-like patterns through a matrix of off-white, cream and pale yellow quartz. The surface is rough and textured with some areas showing a slight crystalline sheen.
