A rough, unpolished salrose specimen from the DRC, measuring 50-60mm. Vibrant fuchsia-pink to magenta crystals sit densely clustered across the upper surface of a pale host matrix in off-white, cream and beige, with a faint pink tinge and a scattering of small black specks. The contrast between the bright pink crystal and the light matrix is what gives salrose its name and its appeal.
