Description
This striking fossil is an extinct oyster commonly known as a Devil’s Toenail, collected in Namibia. The dramatic curved form and thick, rugged shell are characteristic of ancient oyster species such as Gryphaea or Exogyra, which lived in shallow seas millions of years ago.
